VISO stoppers and nozzles
VISO stoppers and nozzles are a range of isostatically pressed shapes based on carbon bonded alumina graphite. In steel foundry ladle applications, the VISO stoppers are normally removed from the ladle and cleaned before being reused. VISO isostatically pressed carbon bonded alumina graphite monoblock stoppers are the ideal choice for small to medium sized bottom pour steel foundry ladle applications. The products offer excellent thermal shock and oxidation resistance, making them particularly suited for application with molten steel.
VISO is available in a wide range of shapes and sizes, most typically as stoppers and nozzles in foundry applications.
VAPEX stoppers and nozzles
VAPEX stoppers and nozzles are a range of dimensionally accurate extruded shapes based on a refractory combination of graphite and alumina. In automated iron pouring applications, VAPEX stoppers are positioned in the pouring box and then continuously used for multiple shifts or days depending on the application. VAPEX offers excellent erosion and oxidation resistance and maintains high mechanical strength over a long operational time period. VAPEX is therefore ideally suited for use in automated pouring iron foundries. VAPEX is available in a wide range of shapes and sizes, most typically as stoppers and nozzles in foundry applications.
VAPEX FOSFLOW nozzles
VAPEX FOSFLOW alumina graphite nozzles use both carbon and ceramic bond technology. The combination of the two bonding systems provide unique beneficial properties for steel foundry ladle applications. The system contains a base nozzle which remains in the refractory bottom of the ladle and an interchangeable pouring nozzle with possible different inner diameters which can be replaced quickly even within a ladle cycle.
ROTOLOK stopper head
A single use stopper rod may be preferred for large bottom pour steel ladles. This gives the benefit of a new stopper and nozzle for each heat. The ideal solution is ROTOLOK which is applied in conjunction with a steel stopper bar and holloware tubes. ROTOLOK stoppers offer the steel founder a reliable single use refractory component designed to operate even with the most aggressive steel grades. ROTOLOK offers excellent thermal shock resistance and are ideal for very large steel ladles.
MULTI-LIFE nozzles
Normally a steel foundry nozzle is a One-Shot product. As the market demands improvements, the new zoned nozzle for multiple usage has been invented. The nozzle can be used as often as the VISO stopper which leads to a safer work environment, less stock and higher productivity.
