Crucibles and retorts for non ferrous alloys

ENERTEK crucibles

ENERTEK energy efficient crucibles that have been formulated and manufactured to offer the most thermally efficient crucible for melting and holding.

ENERTEK ZnO crucibles for flame fired furnaces used in zinc oxide production. Significant heat loss and energy consumption can occur at the high temperatures involved in zinc vaporization to produce zinc oxide. High thermal conductivity ENERTEK ZnO crucibles significantly reduce energy usage,  energy costs and carbon footprint per tonne of zinc oxide produced.

ENERTEK ISO insulating duplex crucibles designed specifically for induction furnace applications which combine optimum physical properties, strength and toughness with vastly superior insulation provided by a durable proprietary refractory lining. The resulting crucible performance and behaviour is extremely beneficial in induction furnace operations used for melting of precious metals and continuous casting copper applications.

DURATEK crucibles

DURATEK crucibles with improved properties designed for specific applications to achieve an extended service life.

DIAMANT crucibles

DIAMANT ISO SPECIAL premium quality, isostatically pressed crucibles for low temperature applications with good thermal conductivity and chemical attack resistance. Ideally suited for the melting and holding of aluminium as well as other low temperature applications.

DIAMANT ISO UNIVERSAL premium quality, isostatically pressed crucibles with good thermal conductivity. Suitable for a wide range of high temperature applications including copper alloys and zinc distillation.

DIAMANT ISO TOP isostatically pressed crucibles with very high electric resistivity. Specially designed for use in high frequency and/or high power induction furnaces.

KING-CARB crucibles

KING-CARB isostatically pressed, carbon bonded crucibles suitable for a broad range of low and high temperature applications.

TERCOD crucibles

TERCOD rotational moulded, carbon bonded crucibles with high thermal and mechanical shock resistance.

GO-Crucible Lifter

The lifting of crucibles after usage is dangerous and can lead to a safety-risk or damage on furnace equipment due to the lower strength of the crucible material. New crucibles can be damaged during installation and therefore having distinctly lower service life. An adjustable version of the lifter allow to lift crucibles with different diameters. The lifter can lift crucible with or without spout. The wire rope lift the crucible in central position for safe and balanced lifting and installation of crucibles.

Energy efficiency considerations for aluminium and zinc crucibles

Improving the energy efficiency of foundry operations reduces both energy costs and carbon emissions. It’s a vital win-win for foundries under pressure to reduce their environmental impact, while staying cost competitive. Foundries should therefore consider switching to energy-efficiency crucibles, such as the ENERTEK crucible range from Foseco, even if this means challenging traditional price-based purchasing decision-making.
